(Ages 5 to 7)

Start 'em young! For students ages 5 to 7 we offer our Tykes program. Tykes is a summer program that is the precursor to and begins simultaneously with KIDS AT PLAY. Tykes provides younger students with the opportunity to learn theatre skills as a team, as well as the chance to show it all off on stage with a performance at the end of the four-week rehearsal period. Tykes gives young actors that first taste of producing a musical – as well as the skills to graduate to KIDS AT PLAY for the full-scale event!

Typically the first two weeks of Tykes rehearse from 4 to 6 p.m., and the third week of rehearsals move to 9:30 to 11:30 am.

Adventures on Stage
Riana Nelson, Tykes composer, lyracist and director since 2007, recently founded Adventures on Stage! Adventures on Stage is a new avenue in which schools, theatre companies, churches and the like may rent and produce a "musical-in-a-kit."
