Jeff is the founder of Capital Playhouse and Kids at Play. For the past 21 years, he has directed, produced, and choreographed over 100 plays and musicals for the theatre and, additionally, has been a fixture at local theatre companies. His work as a director has been seen on the stages of The Abbey Players, Olympia Little Theatre and both Capital and Timberline High Schools. He directed all four of the All City High School Musicals. He has been the Master of Ceremonies for the annual Christmas Forest Gala Auction and the Family Support Center’s Reach for the Stars Auction as well as the host of The Waldorf School’s “Auction in Three Acts” for the past several years. As an actor, Mr. Kingsbury has been seen on the stages of Harlequin Productions, The Abbey Players, Olympia Little Theatre and, of course, right here at Capital Playhouse. His favorite roles include Captain Hook, Sweeney Todd, Smudge in Forever Plaid, and Hermocrates in Triumph of Love. Jeff’s work in the community garnered him recognition as one of Thurston County’s top ten Citizens of the Year in 1999. He currently serves on the Olympia City Council. | ||||||

Troy moved to Olympia in the fall of 1988 to begin work for Capital Playhouse. Since that time he has music directed and/or directed over 40 musicals for Capital Playhouse, four musicals for The Abbey Players, seven productions for Harlequin, four All-City high school musicals, three musicals for The Timberline Theatre Company, six musicals for Capital High School, two productions for the Nova School, two musicals for the Griffin School District, and two productions of Babes With Big Hair for UCAN. In addition to his theatre work in Olympia, Troy is also the founding music director for Olympia’s premier youth choir, Kids In Koncert, which recently returned from a concert tour to Japan. He is the music director for the Olympia Unitarian Universalists Congregation and also has a private voice studio that turns out some of Olympia’s finest young singers. Outside of Olympia, Troy’s work has been seen and heard at Utah Musical Theatre in Ogden, Utah, The Toledo Rep in Toledo, Ohio, Iron Rod Family Productions in Portland, Oregon, The Post Playhouse at Ft. Robinson, Nebraska, The Black Hills Playhouse in South Dakota, The Lyceum in Columbia, Missouri, Project For The Arts in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Music Arts Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. |

This is Ann's 10th year at the playhouse. As education director she oversees the Page to Stage Theatre-Literacy program which will celebrate its tenth year in the Summer of 2007, with the Honor Reunion production of the Wizard of Oz. Plans are in the works for an All Olympia Reads the OZ program in partnership with the Olympia Timberland Library. In addition to Page to Stage, Ann works with the Students on Stage after school musical theatre program and writes the grants for the playhouse. Ann's background includes 20+ years of public school teaching, campaign managment and interior design. She loves to travel especially to areas of the world really off the beaten path! | ||||||

Nathan is new to Capital Playhouse this year in the administration side. He comes to Capital Playhouse with graphic design experience and a background in customer service. He is also an avid musician and composer and has music directed for Capital Playhouse in the past. He is a student at the University of Washington in Seattle and is currently working on new communication programs at the playhouse. In his spare time (which hardly ever happens) he enjoys rock climbing and freelance film producing. | ||||||

Cathie is excited to be starting her first season on the staff at Capital Playhouse. Cathie is a proud mother and grateful for the support of her husband and 3 boys Patrick, Willy and Gordon. | John is a recent Theatre Arts graduate from south-eastern Wisconsin. He is proud to join Capitol Playhouse this season as carpenter and properties designer, and excited to contribute to great musical-theatre! Most recently he created props for 2006 Kids At Play, lighting for University of WisconsinParkside productions of Romeo and Juliet, The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail, and Fifth of July; and sound for Look Homeward Angel, The Miracle worker, and numerous staged readings. In addition, he served as lighting designer/company technician for Theatre West Summer Repertory productions of The Nerd, Meshuggah-Nuns!, and The Sound of Music in 2005. | |||||||
